Why are Public RPC Services Needed for Polkadex Parachain

Setting up blockchain infrastructure is difficult, time consuming, and expensive:

- It requires a level of server development expertise that many do not have
- It's costly to run a full node nearly continuously, especially when your dApp's traffic is low and inconsistent.
- Running production level infrastructure is especially tricky. You need to autoscale quickly to handle bursty traffic, and you want to provide services in different regions around the world to provide low latency services - all of this is incredibly costly, but comes with significant economies of scale for a provider.
- DevOps requires constant attention - time that would be better spent elsewhere building.

A shared node API service helps mitigate these barriers of entry to trying accessing a new protocol by reducing all these costs to near zero. We manage all the nodes for our users and distribute them across the world (with intelligent routing) to achieve global scalability from day 1, we monitor each node and ensure that they meet certain service levels, and we have the expertise and scale to handle production workloads and high peak traffic.

In summary, we try to reduce the pain of getting started on Polkadex and minimise the costs of accessing secure nodes while traffic from your dApp is low. - The highest daily total was 54 Million responses (54,727,292) in a single 24 hour period
- Our rolling 7 day average at the end of this period was over 31 Million (31,797,141) responses each day

Costings
========

We are using a fixed price to allow us to bill in advance and to simplify the administration of this proposal, as well as provide cost clarity to both parties. This proposal includes combined running costs for our infrastructure for Polkadex for Q3 and Q4 2024. A 15% discount has been applied for pre-paying 6 months of service in advance.

We are using a fixed price to allow us to bill in advance and to simplify the administration of this proposal, as well as provide cost clarity to both parties. This proposal includes combined running costs for our infrastructure for Polkadex for all of Q2 and Q3 2024. By paying 6 months up-front we will apply a 15% discount to our services. An additional 10% discount has been applied for not meeting the 99.9% Uptime SLA target over the past 3 months.

The total combined running cost is USD $6,100.11 after discounts. This is all inclusive of capital and operating expenses, administration time from OnFinality DevOps, onboarding costs, backup costs, and all other monitoring and right-sizing by our team. The base price change from the previous period is due to the storage per node increasing from 133GB in January 2024 to 299GB.

Hello Polkadex community, this is ClusterCuss, I hope most of you know me as I have always tried to be around and help in the community as much as possible over the years. Over the last couple months I have been working with the core contributors to hep make an interface for PolkaPool, allowing for the swapping of assets and the addition and removal of liquidity from pools. This has allowed the community to crate and fund pools for:

- ASTR
- iBTC
- USDT
- GLMR
- PHA
- and most recently BNC

Allowing new orderbook users to come in with any of those assets and be auto swapped into the PDEX they need to get going.

Over the course of a couple weeks I was able to work with the team to test and develop the API needed to get the information for the PolkaPool interface. I then made the prototype that is available on https://polkapool.trade/ 

While most users will not interact with these pools directly the Core contributors and myself believed an interface that allowed the community to fund these pools and also for arbitragers to keep the pools in sync with the outside world was an important milestone to implement the very important to the orderbook Autoswap functionality.

I am asking for $3000 for the serves rendered getting the PolkaPool interface up and running so AutoSwap could be completed.

CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko Exchange Integration Proposal for Polkadex

The idea is to create a script to distribute 1.1 PDEX to all addresses which contributed to the Polkadex crowdloan. 

This would relieve some of the issues people are facing when attempting to obtain 1.1+ PDEX prior to claiming. 

A referendum would be needed to retrieve funds from the treasury.

Parachains that took the initiative and registered $PINK as an asset and have an open XCM channel with AssetHub will be granted a portion of the $PINK total supply from the PINK team. Polkadex was the 10th chain to complete these requirements and with that we will receive 0.48% of the $PINK total supply (0.48% is approximately 11M tokens).

Infrastructure proposal for Analytics Platform and CoinMarketCap/CoinGecko/DefiLlama Integrations (Q3/Q4 2024)

The goal of this proposal is to create a new bot to help increase the overall visibility of Polkdex’s governance mechanism and encourage user participation in referendums. This will be done by introducing a new [@pdex_governance](https://twitter.com/pdex_governance) twitter bot that will automatically inform the community when important events are occurring. Users can then retweet or share the announcements to increase referenda visibility and proposers will have better chances at reaching quorum.

The bot will initially include support for the following announcement types:

Targeting both social networks will ensure maximum visibility into governance matters.

**Sept 7 Update**:  A few additional announcement types were added to the previous list (tech committee proposals for example, 24h reminder for referenda, etc.)

The development of the bot is already in progress and a basic proof of concept is starting to wrap up (work still needs to be done in incorporate a lot of the different types of alerts). This proposal seeks funding for the amount of $3,000 for the development and setup work. There will be no operational costs.
